**Misikko Hair Care Review**

As a hair stylist, I am always looking for new products to try to protect my hair from the heat of my flat iron.  If you've heard of Misikko, you know they have high quality flat irons and other awesome hair products!

Just like they gift wrap their flat irons so beautiful, when I recieve their products, they gift wrapped the hair products just as beautiful!  I was very impressed.  I was going to take a picture of how beautiful it looked, but my Monsters beat me to it and took everything out of the box before I had the chance!

I did get to review Chi and Shield Shine.  They are both equally GREAT for your hair and skin!  They both provide a lot of shine!

After I used the products

When I used the Shine Shield, it added shine and I could really tell that it protected my hair because my hair didn't feel dry and damaged.  This prodcut is good for those with fine/medium textured hair, I feel, because it didn't weigh my hair down.

I liked them equal well, but for my textured hair, the CHI worked better for me because I am mixed racially so I do have that African American textured hair mixed with Caucasian.  The CHI weighed my hair down just enough to no fly-away, but didn't leave my hair greasy either!

If you use a flat iron like me, you really do need protectant from the heat!  It will prevent split ends and damage!

Because of my type of hair and scalp, I only wash my hair once a week to avoid overdryness of my scalp and hair.  Mine are extremely dry so I don't want to dry them out more than necessary.  Eventhough I was that infrequent, the CHI and Shine Shield DON'T make my hair greasy at all!

I knew there was a reason for not having any money in my paypal account when I do these Featured Estian Mondays.  It's because there are some great shops out there and this one just takes my breath away.  I don't think I've ever appreciated photos of buildings until I saw her photographs...they are absolutely beautiful!...

Where are you from? Tell us about yourself!

I am a 28 year old stay at home mom/whenever I get the time photographer. I have 2 great kids, my son is 2 1/2 and my daughter is 1 1/2. They are only 11 months apart so for now they are the best of friends.

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio but have traveled around quite a bit since graduating college in '05. My husband and I have been bouncing around between DC and Paris for about 5 years and now our family is semi permanently in DC but Paris is always calling!

How did you come up with your Shop Name? Why did you start your business?

In Paris, le Metro Ligne 6 was the closest line to our apartment. I have so many fond memories of my life there and so much of my work is inspired by or taken in France that I thought it would be appropriate to incorporate my shop name into that experience.

Hmmmm?, why did I start my business? Ya know, I don't think I have a really good answer for that. I guess I was looking for a hobby or a little side project. I didn't know how much work it would take to keep myself out there. But it has been very fun!



If you had time to learn any other craft/art….what would it be?

It would probably be interior design. I really love to decorate and organize. My specialty is making things look beautiful on a budget. I am really into glass jars right now, I have been using them all over my house as vases, to infuse oils, as candle holders, they even make fun picture displays!

What/who motivates/inspires you to create your items? What is your favorite item in your shop and why?

I get my inspiration from ordinary things. I like to capture the little things in every day life. I am drawn to lines and architecture also.

My favorite item? It's probably a series of photos taken in the South of France. A lot of my photos are edited to really make shadows and colors pop but with my prints from the South of France that is pretty much just what it looks like there....beautiful. One of my favorites of those is the "Vespa Scooter" print. I love this print because someone drove that red scooter to work that morning and leaned it right against the red and green wall and probably never thought of the beauty in it. It was just part of that persons daily routine. That is what I love to capture.

No SuperWoman here!

I've contemplated a lot with this idea.  I don't want to do it, but I feel like I have to.  It's too much and well I don't think this blog is as successful as I liked it to be and I should stop while I am ahead. 

I've had a lot of things on my plate, it's a good thing, but I feel it's only fair to let you all know why this blog has kind of taken a back burner and I haven't been posting very much on it at all.

I don't know why I'm sad.  It's not like I'm going to be leaving the blogging world!  I hate being defeated and quitting something.  I guess that's what being in sports my whole school career has done!  Lol

I'm finishing up my obligations (reviews, giveaways, etc...) here for the month and then I'm going to be done blogging on this blog on October 1, 2010.

Where am I going?  I'll still be posting on my Nomie's 3 Monsters blog.  I will be doing reviews and giveaways there, but not as often as I was on here.

Every woman is beautiful and gorgeous and I hope that my ideas, hard work and LOVE put into each and every piece of jewelry that I make will help them to achieve this in a special way through my creations.

Everyone starts off differently! I got started in the designing business by accident. I got inspired by all the other crafters and artists while shopping and browsing through the internet. When I saw their creations on their websites and in their shops, I thought to myself how beautiful their creations are and how nice if I could create some of these myself. That train of thought ended with the determination to make my own beautiful creations!

I stumbled upon Etsy by accident to begin with, but ended up being the best accident because AllureByU was born!

If you had time to learn any other craft/art….what would it be?
It would be sewing because I can design and make all kind of apparels that I like to wear.

What/who motivates/inspires you to create your items? What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
All the things around me inspire me. I love nature and life. I love new exciting ideas and trying them. I do not like sticking to the same old concepts. Thus I use all kinds of themes and all kinds of different materials in my creations. I love to get inspirations from all of them. Sometimes something seemingly boring, when combine with another material, will create a beautiful piece. Let your creativity juices flow.

I love every single piece of my creations because they are created with lots of love, efforts and time. However, I am extremely proud to share this piece because it's a first try at a more complex project and one that I spent many hours at wire wrapping.
